Technical gases in industrial production

The application of technical gases in industrial production is growing faster, becoming a resource as much important as water and electricity. The most commonly used are acetylene, argon, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and hydrogen.

Technical gases in industry are employed in order to maintain or achieve specific results, based on their singular properties. An example is the food and beverage industry, where inert noble gases are employed during the packaging of the products in order to maintain the freshness of the goods. Steel industry also makes a large use of technical gases, from heat treatments to the welding process, while pharmaceutical and chemical productive plants require fluxing using inert nitrogen, or also inert gas blanketing in order to achieve constant production results.

In many of these cases, technical gases need to be thermoregulated at a certain temperature.
The range of brazed plate heat exchangers series C by Tempco is designed and engineered especially for this kind of applications, often requiring cooling or heating a gas under very high pressures (100, 140 bar).

The combination of this kind of heat exchangers with the T-REG thermoregulating units allows to achieve the required results, with tolerances of +/- 0,5°C (*).

The high flexibility and the quick response-time offered by plate heat exchangers allows to maintain high precision levels even in once-through cycles, combining the equipment with advanced thermoregulation units leveraging PID instrumentation, SCR heating systems and cooling sections with modulating control valves.
